Tried shortening just the longitudinal arms but it didn't work; best procedure that I can find is to replicate the image that @Bart1701 posted. There are some electronic components on either side of the rear LED on the Digitrax board that foul the shell. Perhaps the TCS version doesn't have this issue?

I was wondering if you have installed both the decoder and the engine compartment led light?

Glad you figured it out.
This is sadly not rare.

When I placed a TCS decoder in a Kato NW2 years ago, the exhaust stack was pushed up.
I had to trim the pin on the exhaust stack to get it to go back down.
