Printable brick pattern

Hi All, can anyone share a link to files or a source of n scale printable brick patterns or images?  I would like to glue some printed brick images to 3d printed walls for a mock up of a shop building.

Thanks in advance
Mario

I have found these very interesting and purchased one to mess around with.

Guy was there at Edison this Morning. Guess I'll take a look, need something like that for a building on the layout.

My plan is to try it out as a passenger station platform. Someday!

If you mean PAPER printable, I don't know of any current sites.  Paperbrick.co.uk was a great one, but it disappeared several years back.  I have a few PDFs from them that I could share, as they were free to start with.  The site allowed one to choose their scale brick pattern, color, size, mortar color, etc, then randomly generated a PDF file of that brick pattern.  Even if you repeated the request exactly, the resulting file would be different, as they had a wide variety of bricks for each color.

Anyone know if it's possible to post a PDF file in the Gallery?

Monster Modelworks used to sell laser sheets, i think they got bought out and you can find stuff here
https://www.larkspurlaserart.com/monster-modelworks-products
then you just glue the sheet to plain wall pieces   just a thought

He didn't get bought out, he only does it as a side gig. Essentially Monster Model Works only really exists when he is between jobs.

Wayback machine has copies of that website saved.  http://web.archive.org/web/20220000000000*/Paperbrick.co.uk

The capture from Jan 2022 shows that "they'll be back", but then the domain just disappeared.
http://web.archive.org/web/20220125112353/http://paperbrick.co.uk/

Earlier captures do have the copy of the website, but since the brick PDFs are custom generated on demand, the cannot be rendered (since the program for generating them is not captured.  When you try, the archive version goes to the original website and you see "suspended" message.  The owner probably didn't pay the hosting fee.

As for uploading PDFs to the forum, no they cannot be uploaded to the gallery, but you can easily save them as attachments to your post.  You can even upload multiple PDFs to one post.  I don't knwo if attachments are available in "quick reply' that you seem to prefer, but they are available in standard reply to a thread.  See click the  "+" next to  "Attachments and other options" below the text entering pane.

For attachments which are not viewable in a post (like PDFs) IMO the cleanest way to present them is as "End-of-post expandable thumbnail" so they show up as clickable items under the text int he post.

Peteski:  The standard reply form will usually let me post, but any attempt to attach a file fails.  I've tried two browsers, and neither one will post anything if I have an attachment.  The page simply goes blank, and I have to go back to the index to reopen the topic.

If I try to post WITHOUT an attachment,  I have to wait 90 seconds, because it claims I've already posted!

Apparently, I'm having trouble posting in general.  I've tried twice, once last night, and once today, to post to another topic (Quick-Reply), and neither are showing.  But a post to a different topic, a few minutes ago, went through fine.

This one was posted from the Quick-Reply, and it worked the first time.  I've never had trouble posting before, so unless the forum software has changed in the last 24 hours, I have no idea what's happening.

Since it won't let me post a PDF, I'll try the basic brick, as an image.

This is from an unknown member of the Atlas forum, many years ago, and is designed to be tiled.  Just use your favorite image processing program, such as MS Paint, and build as large a page as you need, or can print.

(You'll also want to remove the Railwire watermark.  Just paste a section of brick over it, before starting to tile.)

For N scale, 1:160, it should be printed at 600 DPI.

I have a tiled 8.5 x 11 page, but suspect that the Gallery would resize it, so won't try posting it.

For a mockup, this should be usable, even if it isn't the fanciest brick.

Let's try this one again.  PDFs from Paperbrick. [ Guests cannot view attachments ] [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

Interesting.  This afternoon trying to post it crashed my browser!  I don't know why it posted twice, but both files should be the same.  I just downloaded it, and the file opened fine, and looks normal, so anyone who wants to can try it.

Thanks all, I think that image that nkalanaga posted will work.  I simply pasted it to a word doc and reduced to 30% and maxed the DPI setting, just small enough so the shapes or likeness of the bricks can be discerned.  Scale should be much smaller but this will work.  I 3d printed the walls of the shop building and will try pasting right on the panels.  Will be a bit of a pain to cut around the windows and pilasters but what isn't a pain about this hobby.

Thanks Again,
Mario

I'm glad it worked.  And, yes, it can be printed at whatever resolution you need, or want.
