I’ve been having some fun trying out various N scale lighting configurations using some of the larger smd LED’s (0608, I think) in conjunction with ESU 58741 decoders (the Kato USA board). These are about as small as I can handle, soldering-wise.I also had two very small prewired LED’s (0402’s, I believe; too small for me to manipulate if they were not prewired). They were the only ones available at my local hobby shop, and I would like to buy a few more. Both Digikey and Mouser have Canadian online operations, and although they each have sizeable smd selections, I’m having no luck at all using their ‘search’ tool to find prewired assemblies. Where do you guys source these things, please & thanks!
CMR has prewired Pico-sized LED's that make those look like monsters.https://www.cmrproducts.com/tag/leds/I even drilled out a .050 styrene rod and inserted a yellow one INSIDE it to make a flashing beacon, and it worked.
There are several sources for obtaining pre-wired SMD 0201 LEDs (at 0.020" x 0.010" are smallest available). ...
I bought some prewired 201 LEDs on eBay a while back. Not seeing any there now. Maybe my search no longer works? Maybe China isn't wiring them at this time?Edit: see https://www.ebay.com/itm/353002158648
