Plumcrazy, in the Railwire thread:Shrinkcasting HO scale vehicles to N scale.  Showed the technique Rasputen published in a Trainboard posting.

Thanks for  posting this - I had missed it.

The final version came out nicely except one support tip took a small chunk out of the driver side window frame--it could be patched easily enough and I'll re-do the support for further copies.

Any possibility that I could reimburse you for the trouble of printing one more copy?  :D

For sure, and anyone else who wants one, feel free to PM.   I'm going to get rid of the two small auxiliary lights below the headlamps--I don't see them on any prototype.  I'm going to put together a set of decals for these two schemes:

I think that the small lights under the headlights are directional signals on Jeeps which don't have the fender-mounted directionals.  Makes sense to get rid of those in this Jeep.

Yep, I had an '83 Jeep Scramble and the turn signal lights were there,

We used ex-postal vehicles for awhile at the university that I work at...one had the turn signals under the headlights, the other had the turn signals on top of the fenders.

Here's the "final" version, I improved detail again-- the Jeep logo is now correct, wheels, and front bumper frame were improved.  In the print, I played around with angle and support placements (it shows some scars from supports that I have now eliminated).  Just PM if you want a hard copy.  I'm tempted to do an etched brass fret for the mirrors but that might be overkill.

Nice!  I need a couple for my post office.  One request, could you make the door separate, to be positionable?

Here's the final version.  I added some mail bins, steering wheel and a shifter to the interior.  There are two extra mirrors in case you knock one off.  The decals are en-route and should be here today or tomorrow, the set includes enough for three different versions.

Remove/install the steering wheel and extra mirrors before assembly.   I noticed the hood benefits from some light sanding because it still gets layer lines no matter how I tried to eliminate them.  I really like the fiberglass pens for sanding the crevices, just watch out for those tiny mirrors!  I'm going to use clear decal film for the windows--I use the film designed for inkjet printers because it's pretty thick, and shrinks to a flat surface.  If you're ambitious you could make the "outrigger" mirror stanchions out of some wire...
If anyone wants one, just PM me.

Very impressive.
Wow.

Suggestion:  You need to post a photo of the unit on a penny, dime or quarter.

Yes, that works well.  I have in the past suggested this technique to Jesse for showing the relative size of Jesse's diminutive T gauge models.
