Looks about like the direction I've been moving! what is the thickness at the point it contacts the model?

So sorry, I had intended to add in the support dimensions. Here they are. @Erock482  I recently saw your Hon3 boxcar - great job on that.

A bit of adjustment needed here. The length of the support pictured needs to be halved. This support works better smaller in width as opposed to wider.

Thank you! I'm adapting these new support ideas to that boxcar in hopes I can eliminate most of the curl even while printing flat.

The first test was very promising, however removal of the first iteration of supports was not as clean as I had hoped, Initial thickness at the model was about 50% more than what you have, right now I've got them at .3 mm which is pretty close to what you have, and I can probably go thinner to help with the removal.

Yeh they should just pop right off after you cure them. I also set the support right at the edge I don’t embed it really along the edge. So it’s really printing .25mm at the connection point.

I find that with the membrane type supports bloom alot, and blend all together, making removal from the build plate tricky.

Do you use one of those magnetic build plates? if not what do your base layer times look like?

So these supports end at the build plate?  No raft?

I do use magnetic build plates for all the things I print models on. So my Sonic Mini 4k and my Sonic Mini 8k both have magnetic build plates. On my SM4k base layer times are between 17-18 seconds.

What brand of magnetic build plate did you go with?

My base layers are at 30 currently, might see if I can shorten than up!

I use the whambam plates exclusively because I haven’t had any magnet issues with them. I know some people have had problems with other brands. You do need to sand them to add texture.

Do you find that the A and B ends of the car have a slight curve at the bottom edge? that's currently the last item I'm trying to eliminate. currently I split the membranes at the coupler pocket and use regular chitubox supports on the pocket cut out.

I use extra supports on the corners so that it makes a sort of L shape with them.
