Nah he's ditched the USA date format and gone with the rest of the world and wanted to start it on Saturday - which it is where I live.  :D :D :D :D

Would be less ambiguous (to the worldwide audience) if the month abbreviations (like Jul. or Aug.) were used.  And for better searchability and sorting, YYYY-MM-DD would be the best format.  Oh well.

I pulled out all of my Hallmark Lionel ornaments to out in the Cabinet in the hallway..

I found a couple of odd variants to the 2006 Union Pacific Stock car.

The subject line confused me because in ‘Murrican-speak, 7/8/21 means July 8th, not August 7th.  <barbecue-flavored confusion>

I’m sure it was simply a mistake.

YYYY-MM-DD works for me. Been doing it that for the last 15 years for Record Management with Department of Defence.

I’m sure it was simply a mistake.

I think  some time ago @GaryHinshaw suggested that the date in the WU subject line be changed, but the implementation is still confusing.  Since we have members all over the globe (watch out flat-earthers), maybe we should implement a dating system that is not ambiguous.  I provided couple such examples in my previous post.

Date format concerns aside, I was able to make a bit more progress with the concrete tie project: https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=48446.msg718198#msg718198
