Thanks for the suggestion!  I just saw that my card was charged yesterday, so they must be in stock.  I checked my "goodie box", and requested them to be shipped.  I thought I would have gotten some sort of notification they were in stock, but no.  Hopefully I will see them in a few weeks.

Jeff

Same here, was checking my bank account and noticed a charge, no warning, no emailed invoice...just boom

At the end of the day, they're Conrail yellow door boxcars.  On the plus side, the NARC cars aren't some kind of exquisite model that embarrasses the Atlas yellow door X71's they're mixed with.

Sounds like I'll keep an eye out for them at a show or something but they're probably not worth dealing with PWRS for.

I think that's what I've learned too, now that the whole 4 year process with these cars is over.

Agreed. I'm always hoping that anything they produce will be models that I don't need or want.

The PS 5077 would be nice for additional variety but I avoid the purveyors at all costs!

There were complaints about the HO railbox lettering being incorrect font wise and size too, one error on the railbox is where it says "The nationwide boxcar pool" they have a lower case t instead of the proper capital T.

I received my N scale PWRS PS 5077 boxcars decorated for Conrail class X75 last week five days after I requested them to ship my “goodie” box.  I am very pleased with them.  I never thought I would see these in N scale, so I am able to live with the incorrect zeros that were mentioned earlier in the thread.  The ride height is great, the under frame is excellent, the retaining valve detail is unique and I REALLY LIKE the stirrups.  Thank you.

I'd love to own some of their Potash hoppers, but after having tried to enroll in their Porters program once, I felt like I had been on customer support with the good folks in Mumbai for 5 days, 3 hours and 59 minutes.  Their sales model is very puzzling is all I can say.

The brake detail under the car is impressive.  MTL cars are one of the few others with that level of detail (but molded with the cross beams).

Are those NARC's new ASF 70T trucks?

EDIT- nevermind, I looked up the product page for the Conrail car and see that it says that they are indeed ASF 70T trucks.

Thanks,
-Mark

Not a terrible looking car, but not so amazing that I'm gonna go deal with PORTERS or whatever weird thing they do just to have one.

@ai5629 , how do you feel about the door? It looks a little "soft" to me.

Are there any vendors in the US or Canada that get stock from PWRS? I'd like a couple of these but I also don't want to deal with PWRS ordering system...

The door looks OK.  The detail is not extremely crisp, but acceptable.  It appears “soft” due to the fact the door is painted yellow.  In my own experience, painting yellow is challenging.  You need to prime the part first and then paint it, sometimes twice.  It looks like their factory applied it a little heavy which is attributing to the softness of the door.  Thank you.
