So just a little report from the show.
Kanab is a small town of about 5,000 in Southern Utah and the closest population center is the St. George area with about 180,000 people, 1 1/2 hours away. Historically the show has been Friday from 5-9 pm and Saturday 9-5pm with maybe 300 attendees total. They had 350 attendees Friday night and a total of around 1000 by show end Saturday. Not bad for a little podunk town in the middle of nowhere. I did hear that there were people coming from as far away as Las Vegas, NV and Flagstaff, AZ. There was a good showing for N scale with my clubs layout and the Southern Utah Color Country T-trak club. There was one HO modular layout and few random layout that were just some sectional track set up with trains running on them and also the Lego group was there. One guy had an MTH standard scale engine pulling some vintage early 1900's standard scale rolling stock. Beautiful stuff IMO. There were maybe a dozen vendors there selling things like candy, scenic train rides and a couple of Model train retailers.
The next show we'll be going to will be the Sherman Hill show in Cheyenne WY in May.
