Well... those folks can go get tilted then. It's one of the reason most of my TTRAK display time is done around informal stuff.

Pretty much my response, but I always cost benefit before I bust out the South River Module anywhere.

They're 16", and yep, I added it all in the front to get rid of the "strip of death".

Hate to ask a stoopid question but........what is the "strip of death"?

Not stoopid .. the ttrak standards require the track to be close to the front of the 12" module -- Ed added some extra in the front to keep the train closer to the back of the modulue and still meed standard

Especially at train shows where the modules are already close to the display table.  Any hard bump or grabbing hands from an unsupervised little one usually means a death plunge for the loco(s) and/or rolling stock.   :x

I call it the strip of death because I heard someone else do it.

But I absolutely hate it. It's too wide to scenically ignore but too small to really do anything with.

I like how my mom dealt with it on her modules though. She built a playground with a sign for Darwin Park.

Ya know it's funny... everyone's like "Oh, Ed's mom is so nice." They don't know the extent to which she has contributed to my sense of humor...
