I think Kato will probably hint to them at the NSC or NTS. Maybe they will also do the Viewliner diner and baggage dorm.

Which ever side of the track I am on is the right side.

It'd fit their MO.

And these things are only going to get MORE common as time goes on.

I just hope that we don't see tons of detail variations from owner to owner, cause I wouldn't say no to one in MARC.

I'm not sure, but aren't these pretty much the same as the new locos that VIA in Canada is buying? If they are, then Rapido Trains would be manufacturer we need to bug. 😁

I'm pretty sure that they're already on variant 4.

Amtrak midwest is version 1,  The surfliner with the fin to match the height of the superliners is version 2. Amtrak proper is version 3.

The brightline version has a nose that goes down lower, and a hidden front coupler.

I have already made one. But it is only a first attempt. The main design flaw is making the skirtting a separate piece instead of being part of the shell, and I accidentally placed the chassis slightly too far back. I plan on makeing a 2nd one (replacement) that will look much better then this

I like the look of them.  :| I highly doubt Rapido or scale trains would do one. My bet would be first Bachman then Atlas then Kato.

Would not count Rapido out just yet as the first VIA SCB-40 (number 2200) has been built.

Pretty sure FL9s aren't  Canadian

There was one running in Quebec on a tourist line over CMQ tracks that was cancelled last year.

An acs-64 chassis that was cut in half (not exactly half) and then lengthened.

Might as well add it here:  https://resources.bachmanntrains.com/nmra-2021/html5/index.html

Bachmann's 2021 NMRA show catalog has the SC-44 in N about 4 clicks (page turns) in.

TCS WowSound Equipped
Keep Alive device (TCS?)

MSRP $439

Shipping 2022

HO Got an ACS-42 though.

Makes sense. I don't think Kato did the ACS in HO like they did in N.

Wrong ACS.  Kato did the ACS-64 electric.  The ACS-42 is the Amtrak long distance version of the AC-44 diesel.

Wrong. The long distance Charger is the ALC-42, while the corridor model is the SC-44
