Nothing new going on with the layout. But a few days ago on Twitter  :RUEffinKiddingMe: I saw a link to a Yahoo Japan auction site that had a HOn30 14 ton Heisler just like mine for sale. After a few days at $300-500 bucks I started looking for ways to have a 3rd party bid for me since I don't have a Japan ID. Then the next day it goes up to $700 and oh well forget about it. I paid just under $700 for mine and that is exactly what they sold for in 1994 when they were first released.

I watch it till the end and it sells for 313,000 yen. That is $3024.00 US smackers!  :o

That NWSL Dunkirk looks like a lovely engine. And one of only 50 built that is a rare find!
Iā€™m curious, looking at BrassTrains.com it looks like H0 & H0n3 got the same body?
That only the trucks differ with gauge.
Even looks like it would be possible to regauge the H0 version?
Does your locomotive confirm this? Overall length of 3.1ā€ and 26ā€ drivers?
It does not look oversize compared to other H0n30 engines?

Pretty sure Shays, Climaxes, and Dunkirks were all the same size regardless of track gauge in real life. (even including very wide gauge with poles for rails) On the model it is easy to narrow the wheels on the axle. And the side frames are just spaced out on a bent brass tab. On my older Climax I unsoldered the side frame and re bent the tab. Then soldered the side frame back on.

This is actually true. I have diagrams of a pole road Climax that I might be able to put here sometime soon, it's just a normal Climax with the exception that the wheels jut out about a foot from the body.
