First print off the new printer.....


Need to adjust the settings slightly, a little over exposed but for all intensive purposes, it's ready for handrails and roof walks. I'm going to be brave and try to print them also.

That's lookin' very nice!  Of course, photos of the painted model will show the actual quality of the print.  The angled roof looks especially nice, which is one of the things ya paid for with your new printer...higher resolution. 

Gives me added incentive to get going on my UP CA-1 models!

However, I'm going with etched end platform details, .006" wire grabs and running boards that are printed on at the same time as the roof.

Thinkin' about an interior too....just for the helluvit and because I can.

I'll be watching for the painted up model!

This was printed with default settings. I didn't even take time to run an exposure test yet. I think it is slightly over exposed. I also ran it with anit-alliasing at it's lowest setting. The print is almost identical to my photon S except has a crisper feel to it and the window frames did much better, no failures. I'm happy, the mono-x's main selling point to me was more print area at the same resolution and faster speed. I think the smaller Mono is to the point you may be able to print items at injection molded quality.

I'm going to play more with settings tonight and see what I can come up with.

I think I am done. Handrails are too frail to print. Everything else is ready for prime time. This is one light coat of Tamiya fine white primer. Even before painting there were no discernable layer lines in the roof.

1.6 sec exposure, .025mm layer thickness, print rotated 8 deg.
