Otto-
With all but some staging yard track work left to build, I’m going to spend some time weighting freight cars & body mounting couplers so that I can start running trains up & over the layout.   Should be a blast!

Progress has been super slow......but did complete my fascia’s and started roughing in some scenery.  Took longer than I hoped as I needed to design & sketch out the river valleys to plan the fascia profiles.  I think I’m going to start building & finishing bridges, abutments & tunnel portals next as I plow through the basic land forming.  Oh... also learned that while painting the fascias now looks cool, another coat or two will definitely be required once the scenery is finished!!!

Michel, I just peeked into this thread.  The fascia and the valance are gorgeous. Museum quality!
I'm curious if at the end the rest of your layout room (ceiling, floors) will get finished, or left as they are?

Love that helix and how you didn't cover it all up.

Peteski-
Thanks!
Probably won’t finish the ceiling, but will definitely get to the floor....

All 3 of my helices have as much access as I could give them.....easy to clean, maintain & follow the trains!

What color is the fascia? Is that actually black?

Ed-
It’s charcoal - just a shade grayer than black.
