Because there are some specific cases where the "normal" route of a switch is NOT the straight route.

So "Normal" and "Reversed" are the preferred terms to describe the position of any switch.

Operationally switches have a "normal" position to be in; and switches on main tracks and often other important running tracks MUST be placed back in "normal" (not necessarily straight, as noted above) position whenever not actively in use. "Reversed" is "not normal", not necessarily diverging.

Nick, I used flat aircraft light grey. It had a hint of beige and was the closest match to the photos I have of RBOX cars interiors.

I worked on getting part of the fleet layout ready.
Painting wheels, weathering, body mounting couplers, and adding crossover platforms. 15 cars down, about 20 to go.

I got the styrene portion of the scale house together (that was a lot of cutting) and into paint.

I also started ground cover around the ballasted end of the yard. I need to get shots with my camera, my phone doesn’t do colors well.

I’ve started the tree planting process. I figure I’m about 1/3 done with them. SuperTrees will make up the bulk of the forest, I’ll add some JTT trees in for added texture.

Here’s a shot from a little closer down. I will be adding some more trees in the foreground to create photography “windows”. They won’t block any of the view when you are standing next to the layout (unless you are short, the layout is 52” off the ground).

If you have WC 6582 the dynamic brake hatch needs some burn marks. I had it on fire pretty good.
