I hope that, when MTL finally gets around to marketing their baggage/coach combine, that they make it compatible with their existing pair window coach.  That is what I need for B&O, and several, because B&O ran modified versions ahead of coaches in just about all mainline passenger trains during my era.

my Fast Mail...heavyweights built with M&R Sides, ex-trooper express boxes and reefers built with Skytop Models Resin castings. Not shown in this consist are 64' semi-lightweight smoothside baggages built with Skytop Models resin castings...
Plenty more ATSF 70' baggages on the way.

So where do you get the pre-order for this thing? I looked at hobby store sites and only found it on MTL's. Do we need to pre-order only through MTL now?

I imagine you can request thru your regular avenues, or wait til they show up online.  Anytime I see something from MTL I want when released, I email my LHS and they add it to their order if they dont already have 1 coming.

There were four fast mail trains daily out of the Ogden Union Station in my 10 year time period (1947 through 1956), with the east/west bound trains exchanging motive power at Ogden as well as switching cars from the UP north/south bound mail trains.  Motive power was always fast steam until the mid-50's with GS's and FEF's being the prime engines, painted up in either shiny black, two-tone gray or Daylight colors.

Here's a photo I've posted before of my son Benjamin's SP fast mail train, unprototypically rounding Echo Curve on my UP-only layout (so far) being pulled by an unskirted LIK/MORE brass GS-2 with a mixture of WOT, MT and Fine-N-Scale cars in the train.

Photo (1) - Don't know how accurate the cars are, except for my Fine-N-Scale PFE express reefers, but...sure looks good!

Cheerio!

Another strike against Hogtrainz ---- they didn't put this on their "Reservations" page. just listed under MTL monthly stuff.
Boy, do I miss BLW.

When it comes to N scale in general, Hogz is a totally disaster.  Actually that website is one of the worst of all the onlne model RR vendors.  What they should really do is to keep the BLW site active and up to date (for N and Z).

Technically it was on their "Reservations" page, included among the January 2020 releases, just not as a separate item.

You know, you'd think after thousands of years of having retail, people would get it through their heads that it's service (then quality) that counts most in keeping customers. There were other places besides BLW where I could get stuff at the same or cheaper prices, but I stayed with them because of the SERVICE and dedication to their customers. And. like knowing a neighborhood well from having lived in it for decades, you could find your way around the BLW site and get what you wanted if you were on it for years.
And for quality I'm willing to pay more for better products that keep me satisfied. Buy a cheap store-brand loaf of bread, and a higher-priced name brand, have a piece of each and tell me there's no difference in quality. If you do, I'd have to figure your tongue has no taste buds.

I just get my wife to bake us another loaf. :D  No need to read any fine print to know what is in it.  :D :D :D

But, it's a lot easier to bake a loaf of bread from scratch than to make an N scale locomotive from scratch. And cheaper, too.

:|The Wheels O Time mail  cars that I see visible in Roberts GS locomotive photo are pretty accurate for cars that operated on the SP. The SP Historical and Technical Society published a book several years ago on the history of their mail train that operated between Oakland and Ogden to connect with Union Pacific. :| Nate Goodman (Nato).
