Issues with 73100

Good evening everyone, I have a issue I am hoping to gain some info on. I am currently working with a kato SD70ACe and I am going about installing it the same as I did the Dash 9 last year. I've run separate LEDs from the AUX 3,4 tabs and after programming, everything works great. Then after about 6 seconds the LEDs burn out. I didn't have to install resistors on the AUX outputs before so what gives? Also, the 2 black square chips on top are getting very hot to the touch so I know something isn't right. Any ideas? These are 0402 LEDs BTW.

The Aux 3/4 pad are not resistor protected, only the fwd/rear light pads
