With all the Comet talk this week, I thought it might be good to start on a related project : the MBTA Messerschmitt coach and cab cars. These were bought in 1988 to supplement the Comets. I believe these were the first cars to feature restrooms on the MBTA.

Spent the weekend at the Waupaca train show. Having been a fan of the place, enough so to model it's train environs on my layout..
Jesse6669: Where do you get 1mm square rod? That sounds like what I need for N scale log bunks. Plastic is too fragile, round brass rod doesn't look right, and 1/16 inch square is too big.
This weekend's movements include tidying up Chetwynd Yard, and sending four flat cars south for their last trip off the layout. They have been sold to the Brampton ONT Fire Department:Tim
A quick video of my 1954 AT&SF El Capitan. Most of these cars are now correct prototypes for the train. I still need to do two more Baggage/Express cars to swap out two of the 1956 Kato cars. Other than that, it's pretty close to prototype. />
