With larger values of capacitor I would be worried about the capacitor's inrush current (although with the beefy bridge rectifier DKS used, that should not be a problem).

Nope... didn’t help.

Are you having problem with the inrush current?  Or maybe it is "beefy", or some other term you aren't understanding?   :)

Not if I keep the valve closed.

7 April 2021. Spent most of the day finishing up the fascia.

8 April 2021. With the photo shoot for the article awaiting layout completion, I knocked off quite a few to-do items. First up, I created a layered, forced-perspective bank of trees to fill in the space to the right of the factory flats.

Next, the gravel works got some trucks and people.

The houses under construction got some construction detritus.

The freight crane got its hook and cable...

...and buildings got their signs.

Last but not least, the police car got its star.

I'm starting to take some test shots in preparation for the magazine photo shoot. I can't decide between these three views of the Rock Falls canyon: helicopter, falls, or fisherman?

Depends on what you want to highlight.  The helicopter pic shows how the falls ties into the layout.  I like the falls and fisherman pics.  I'd probably go with the fisherman pic since the lighting in the falls pic washes out the falls and is slightly out of focus.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.  You've done a wonderful job on this layout and the level of detail is top notch.  Pamela wouldn't be able to print enough pics to capture all of your excellent work.  Thanks for posting all of these pics in this thread for everyone here to enjoy and inspire.

I definitely prefer the falls or fisherman over the helicopter shot.  I'm torn between them, though.  Can you back out ever so slightly and get both the falls and the fisherman in one picture?  If not, I guess I vote for fisherman.

Hope this helps,
