I love these microlayouts and the fun concepts that inspire them!

Wow! A serious post from Josh. I think...

While studying the track plan, it occurred to me it might be a fun little switching puzzle to operate. Wait, I said that? Well, I figured maybe someone else might like to take the stick, someone more into ops than I am. But the layout has a mix of leading and trailing sidings, and no runaround. So, I added one. Along with uncouplers.

The green rectangles are freight cars to show the capacity of each siding. Black ones are uncouplers. (I'm sticking with Rapidos, so the uncouplers are the really-old-fashioned solenoid-operated ramps.)

Nice.  Not really "Ops", but certainly a little car swapping.  I bet one of those FM switchers will do the trick!

Yeah, well, anything other than running roundy-round is "ops" to me! ;)

He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

I seem to remember you talking about that layout that was a different era depending on what angle you were viewing it.

I feel like a black and white layout was also brought up.
Lego recently did this with a set:

Easy to do in Lego, but I would think it would be pretty tough for an model railroad!

Actually it's been done. Not that hard. Just kind of limited appeal.
