I saw these pop up on EBay also.  I plan on ordering some next month.  I spent all of my decal money this month on Microscale sheets for some Fall projects.  The sheets look nice.

I have some O scale ones in the mail, I’ll try to remember to report back when I use them.

I've seen them and I've been meaning to get some tank car decals from them to try out.

I've purchased Microscale decals from this seller before but I have not tried the K4 decals yet. I noticed this last month that the seller started a line of decals. I'm real tempted to purchase the Monongahela Baldwin set. That means I have to start looking for ER Models Sharks at shows or online to use them on. Didn't someone make a shell to fit the Atlas RS11 mechanism? Either that what is the closest thing to a Baldwin S12 in N? I'm way outta my era now and no clue what the differences would be.

I just finished using a set on this High Point Thamasville and Denton boxcar. My experience was that the graphics are well done and clear. Compared to Microscale decals, The decal paper is thinner and the the glue releases very quickly, like 20 seconds. I ruined some on my first try by using Micro Sol on them and then trying to move them a little. Micro set worked better as it is not as strong.  I found the white stripe to be somewhat thin in color and it let some of the color of the car show through in a way that gave it a weathered effect. I went over it with a wash of white acrylic paint to make in a bit more opaque, which helped but it still looks weathered rather than like a new paint job. This is ok in my case and I went with it. I liked that the decal paper disappeared well and did not leave that edge where you cut it out.

So, my take away was that they look good, when you apply them don't fuss around with them too much. Get them in place and leave them alone. If I had wanted my project to look freshly painted, I would have applied two layers of decals on the larger printed areas like the white stripe and name.

Here's a pic, but since I weathered it up a bit, it might not be that helpful.

I wonder of those are printed on Alps printer.  Alps white ink is not totally opaque.  If someone has a spare graphic on the decal sheet they won't use, scratch the graphic with your fingernail.  If some waxy ink comes of without applying too  much pressure, then they are printed on Alps printer.

I decalled 2 M&O boxcars with them and I thought thought the quality was good. The white numbers and letters were very opaque and the decal film was about the same thickness as Microscale.

Tried on my leftovers, couldn't scratch them. FWIW, here's a closeup of them. I'm not set up for photography so it's just an Iphone and desk light.

Interesting. Then the next most likely method is a laser printer with white toner cartridge.  Those printers are pricey.  The toner layer is quite thin (not like silk-screened ink), so they could be slightly translucent.

Hi All,

I was looking around for images of the earlier(?) non-stripe boxcar that this same decal sheet (HPT&D from K4) covers and found this:

http://steamerafreightcars.com/gallery/boxauto/hptd424main.html

Does anyone know what type of door that is or if there is an N scale model that I could repaint close to this?

Thanks in advance and thanks to those who pointed out this new decal manufacturer!
