Anycubic Skin resin and n scale people

Here is my first attempt at printing a few n scale people in Anycubic skin resin. I used light supports looks like I need at least medium or likely even heavy supports would make the most sense. I lost about 1/3 of my lil people. Penny for scale.

P.s. there is a serious bug in the forum software not recognizing normal photo rotation on attached photos.

They all look awfully unhealthy.

Seriously, real people, even from the same place/ethnic background, are not even close to the same color.  I think you'll still need to paint them both to avoid that unhealthy translucence and to get realistic variation of skin colors.

These are n scale people, to even to be able to 3D print them is something of a feat. In fact to your point I think a few of them have hairs out of place  :ashat:

Looks like a good first attempt.  Which slicer are you using?
I'd like to do some figures in n also, so I'll be anxiously folllwing. :D

I’m using the Photon slicer. I haven’t used the Cithubox.

Not just the forum - it is a widespread "problem" when the photo's orientation is specified in the metadata of the image, not by the layout of the photo's pixels in the file.  This is usually a problem with smart phone photos, because they smartly use the metadata to define the orientation.

Yup Peteski I’ve built web admins that have overcome that. It’s an easy problem to solve if web developers would look at the proper exif orientation. Sigh so much to do, so little time.

 They look good so far, Tim.
 Where are you getting the files from???  I got the files from thingiverse for the ones I printed. Then scaled by height to around 10mm in the slicer and that worked OK.

I did the same Rod (downloaded from Thingiverse) but I cleaned the meshes up in mesh mixer and separated the shells. These are real people scaled down to n scale size. The kids are about 6-8mm.

The scale out drastically different compared to commercial n scale people.

The size and girth depends greatly on the manufacturer.  Preiser and other German manufacturers seem to be somewhat close to correct dimensions.  Woodland Scenics figures are usually quite stout.  Then of course Japanese figures are larger (1:150 scale).

  I'm finding a some of commercially available products like cars, trucks and people are out of scale. Some of the trucks that I've printed look small next to a CMW truck. The biggest problem with the CMW truck is the cab is a little oversized and it sit on the chassis a little too high. The printed trucks look great with the ones from GHQ.

My guess is anything this thin will print with a somewhat sickly opaqueness. Gray would probably be best, followed by proper painting. I have to cast resins in gray or dark colors to keep them looking "crisp" when painted.

LOL. with the proliferation of passenger equiment, properly scaled, seated passengers would be a downright boon for sales.

Mark the color is a little off from how it looks in real life my iPhone 6 under fluorescents isn’t doing it quite the justice it deserves. It does look nicer in person (not so sickly). I also believe this batch is a bit under cured.
