National Geographic "The Railroader" - A great watch!

A film with a lifetime employee of the Cumbres & Toltec.  Beautifully narrated with great videography...this gentleman grew up in Telluride and witnessed the death throws of the Rio Grande Southern.

If you want to truly understand my deep and abiding love of Colorado narrow gauge railroading--a passion that transcends even my hometown favorite Pennsy/Conrail--take the 10 minutes and enjoy.

That was a very moving video. It made me feel humble.  :)

Thank you Dave for bringing this to our attention.

That was cool.  It also helped me envision the area that you are modeling, Dave.  You've done a great job of capturing the look.

"lifetime employee of the Cumbres & Toltec"

Odd to think that the line has been running under that name for an average working lifetime.  The K36s (480s) have worked for the C&TS as long as they did for the D&RGW.

At first, the website kept trying to run a Hong Kong trolley video.
When I finally got the Cumbres & Toltec video to play it would pause every ten seconds, presumably for buffering.
Is there any way to download the video so it can be played back offline?

I went back and watched the video again.  There really are some great shots from the drone pacing the train.  I especially like the shots at 6:29 and 9:28.  That train is really moving in that last video clip!
