Green resin and 91%.

Maybe a fine filter would work. But the stuff is pretty cheap.

Bummer.  Sounds like that's one of the known QC issues; the USB port or the cable to the port.    Hope a new stick works, so you don't have to send it for repair. 

I had some time tonight to finally give the Dry Bulk Trailer a go.  With the complex underside, I had to spend about 40 minutes placing supports.  And once I finished placing the last support, I clicked to orbit around and review everything, and Netfabb crashed.     

Nonetheless, I powered through it all again and ran it to the printer.

I went through the second round supports a lot quicker, and knew ahead of time I was risking too-few supports, so I didn't have high expectations yet.  Surprisingly, I got a failed success.  Failure, in that some of the supports did fail and part of the tank scrunched up, but successful in that the hose detail was not the reason for failure, and the hose detail is all there!

I have version 2 with improved supports running now.  If it turns out to be completely successful, well, then CGNScale, which has been dormant for about 5-6 years will be going back in business!

I got new USB drives and formatted them to FAT32 and the Photon doesn't see them. It will still see the original USB stick. Is there another way to format them?

Did another re-level, made it tight.  I had previously used a piece of paper that was wider than the platform and panel and I think it was messing with the leveling.  Checked my slice file and some of the supports were below the base for some reason so the first layer was just several little points.  I also set the first layers to 90 seconds.   Redid the slice file and started the print.  I just paused it at 26% and I have supports on the platform!!!

Now I don't know what to do.  There's still a few hours left and I have to go to bed.

Had to use the factory stick for a file cooking right now. Slicer says 2 hours 56 min and the machine running now says over 4 hours to go ?  And the first layer burn reset the machine again. I just pressed play again when it turned back on.

 I ran into this too and found this out from somewhere on the net. "Turn machine off, take the USB stick out, turn the it back on and stick the USB stick back in".  It worked for me.

 Oh yea, set the off time at 6.5 as this is the fastest it will do between exposures.

This is what I found online:

Update 15-07-18 : before printing try to remove power cable with no USB plugged in, wait for 1 min then plug power and USB back in. Possible cause might be IC Memory buffer issue, unplug the power should reset it.

I turned it off/on, but didn't pull the plug. I'll try that.

Still curious why a 3 hour print (in the slicer) takes 4 hours (on the machine).

And one page said to use a USB stick less than 8MB. The 16MB I bought was the smallest they had, so an 8MB would probably be hard to find. Also some how I got this far in life without ever owning a USB flash drive (just never needed one).

HOn30 ore car that was 5 pieces. Test printed the parts and then I was like why not join them all together.

Very nice!  Now once you paint and weather it like the others, get a side by side and let's see if we can tell which is Shapeways and which is the Photon.

The blobs are my fault as the print finished at 3am and I didn't take time to clean it very well.

You can get 4GB but those are getting scarce from name brands. I'd avoid the off brands like "VICFUN", "Aiibe", "Enfain", etc.

Took a little more than 4 hours.

Well looking at my model closer I can see that it's skewed on the Y axis.     Hopefully there is a fix for it.
