It's front and centre/center in our latest factory video:

They should leave the factory in about two weeks.

A great video, Jason. Very funny, informative, and impressive. True craftsmanship.

After they depart the factory, approximately how long might it take for the TurboTrains to arrive at retailers in the US?

Nice video as always ... I just wonder what the employees think of your antics since the people there seem to be pretty reserved :)

It takes about seven weeks to reach stores. One week to get on a ship. Four weeks travel. One week to ship out. And then distributors need to send it to their stores.

If only...  :)

Actually, if you are expecting your model to go a scale 170 MPH you will be disappointed. We made that mistake with the HO model - we geared it to go fast. And it sucked at slow speeds.

The N scale Turbo should comfortably reach about 90 MPH but it crawls nicely at slow speeds, especially if you have DCC and you do the Awesome Slow Speed Thingy using CV54.

Remember they don't understand a word we're saying.

When I joke with them in Chinese they enjoy it.

Last time I sat down to help the production line and I promptly stuck my sleeve in a blob of glue. They were all laughing at me then...

Thanks for the silly but informative video Jason!  If Sir Henry Irving (your videographer, not the 19th Century actor) is really deceased, my condolences go out to his family and friends.

I also suspect that the reason for your 3-wheeler crash (at the end of the video) was that seriously under-inflated front tire.  :D

Just got to watch this now. Love seeing how things are made. Even like that little tram loco.

Thanks for sharing this video Jason.  Funny and very informative.  It should help folks understand the complexity of decorating a model.  I've made a couple of trips to China and seen some factories there.  The painting portion reminds me of a project we had several years ago with Mattel to paint Barbie doll heads.  Similar process - lots of different masks for painting each of the different facial features (eyes, eyebrows, lips, etc...).

Thanks for the passenger car hint.  Need to still frame that and run it through the image enhancers.

A few questions/observations-

1) You need to build a layout for the kids who hang around with their parents after school.
2) How much extra for a Turbo that does not have Jason's or Gareth's thumbprint in the paint?
3) Or....how much extra for a Turbo that DOES have Jason's or Gareth's thumbprint in the paint?
4) Don't you feel a need for a Toronto PCC car to go with the bus?

I have a mind like a steel trap...a VERY rusty, old steel trap.

- Doubt he would be interested. It's his parents' work, after all...

2) How much extra for a Turbo that does not have Jason's or Gareth's thumbprint in the paint?

- For you, a good price.

3) Or....how much extra for a Turbo that DOES have Jason's or Gareth's thumbprint in the paint?

- See above.

4) Don't you feel a need for a Toronto PCC car to go with the bus?

- Very limited as to where I can drive it.... Same as a double-decker bus. You have to pre-drive your route with a ping pong ball on a stick. In Toronto, you are limited to major highways and suburban major roads without trees. No fun at all!

And once again Mr Wallet says "ouch". Can't wait to get mine, though.
