Guys,

Friday marks the start of the National Train Show which is one of the largest train show events of the year! Held in conjunction with the NMRA National Convention, this is a great show where you can meet many of the major manufacturers - those that choose to attend. Tangent Scale Models WILL BE THERE and looks forward to meeting you! Stop on by to booth 1614! We have some cool surprises in store for N scalers to look at! See the image here for a little tease... see you soon!

Well, that's certainly a shocker! Welcome to the dark side. You guys have done some great stuff in HO, so it'll be nice to see what you have in store for N.

Interesting... Tangent's HO selection, which I've never really paid close attention to 'til now, seems to hit the heart of my modeling era. Depending on the model, this could easily be a wallet-emptying relationship. If they were to do the Bethlehem quads in UP H-100-12 trim, it would be all over but the crying.

This is very exciting news, as I often get jealous of their H0 releases.

I'm glad I took a look at the Tangent website.  I was under the impression that everything they produced was "too modern"- other than the GSC flat car, which I was aware of.  But now I see several gons and all those various GATX tank cars that could fit in, if only they were in the right (which is to say N) scale.  So I will take a look over the weekend to see if the N scale offering is something I can use, and even if not, perhaps there is hope in terms of future releases.

BTW- Tangent- Really great work in putting up descriptions on your website- with prototype dates and information.  I wish that some of your competitors would catch on to how important that info is to modelers and for at least some of us a major part of our buying decision. Seems like many manufacturers prefer to be "vague" about what they are producing. Hoping that you do a few of your steam era and transition era cars in N scale.

Wow, didn't see that coming. Really hope it's something in my modeling era but if not I'm sure others here will enjoy Tangents entry into the N scale market. Looking forward to it, David !

Why, was there a connection between those two companies?

In any case, it is nice to see even more N scale products being introduced (just when we thought N scale was going to hell in a hand-basket with that Chinese factory closing).  :)

Yes, I believe they shared design/research. So which HO tangent cars exist that didn't make it to N via BLMA?
