I guess it's a good thing I can't come. Otherwise I'd be at this table, wallet open, sobbing "Here, take it! Take it all!"

You know, if you want to take Amtrak out, I'll happily come grab you from the station. Although, given the arrival time of the Pennsylvanian, taking Friday's train might be a bit smarter.

I genuinely appreciate the offer, but... that's even more money I don't have right now.

N Scale Weekend in Altoona is one week away.

N Scale Kits cannot attend - however, if anyone is going to the Museum, I would be really interested in what happened to the N Scale model of the Queen Mary that was given to the Museum last year. They were going to take some examples for their shop but I heard no more. Given the iconic car that the Museum has, we are a little surprised that there has been no follow up. There will be ready to run versions of the car available next year we hope, but the Museum has not expressed any interest.

The Queen Mary FD2 and FW1 as well as other PRR cars such as the FM, FD, F39 and F33 are still available in kit form.

Have a great weekend.

We'll be attending for the first time.  We'll have an assortment of all of our N scale locomotives (including NS & Conrail C39-8s; Tier 4s) and freight cars (including Conrail and Penn Central Covered Hoppers) on display plus our latest N Scale catalog to hand out.  We'll also have some freebies to give away.  We look forward to seeing everyone.

I'm looking forward to chatting about NKP with Shane (although he doesn't know it yet)

Stopped by for a couple hours, sorry I didn't stick around for the group photo.  Walked out with this guy, should have gotten its twin with a different number.  Seen lots of these cars in siding at Dal-Tile over the years.

Shows are getting tougher to spend money at at this point in my collection, have more then enough cars and engines, so I'm narrowing what I buy.  Though there was a couple of CSX GP units I was eyeing, I thought I had them already only to find different numbers.  Maybe it was @w neal that had them ?  Of course, I need more engines like I need another hole in my head. :scared:

Afterwards, went to Horseshoe Curve for my first ever visit.  First hour was very slow, only a couple light helper sets.  Then action starting picking up, a lot of trailer/container traffic, one coal drag and an empty Oscar train.  No mixed freights though, so no modeling material for me :(

Sorry John, I couldn't talk the guys into mooning you. No full monty either, just a fully clothed frontal.

Thanks to Mike & crew for hosting another great show.    He managed to make the front page of the Altoona Mirror newspaper for Sunday morning, below the fold, promoting the show and Sunday family traffic was up quite bit.

Good to see the entire railwire crew, old friends and new ones, and the best part for me was having customers come up to me showing me photos of the my kits they've built.

It was also amazing to me just how many Railwire members showed up.

Oh, and wow, was NS hopping after the show on Saturday.   Caught the CNJ heritage unit off the downtown overpass in wonderful light and composition right off the overpass bridge, another good reason to come to Altoona.
