Actually, if I go down this road, I'll start from scratch with all-new art. That'll take a little while, as my "free time" has just been reduced considerably--which is a good thing.

Whatever works for you - we aren't going anywhere anytime soon (at least I hope so).  Good luck with whatever is occupying your time. Sounds like it is something which should positively affect your life.

That is an excellent thing, and very welcome news!

While this DKS original is cool, I have to say that I like the original MANN graffiti you created using "graf-sampling" better.  What seems to look odd (to me) is the black border around the head. But I don't really know how it would look without it.  The whole thing needs a more grungy look. It seems too perfect.

EDIT:  and in the original version it looks to me like Tom is wearing a red-black Count Dracula hi-collar cape.  I like that.

I hear you on the grunge aspect, and maybe I'll do another version like that. But some graf is really precise, and I was after that look...

Ok, I see what you mean.  Then how about smoothing out the jagged edges in the black border around the head? I found it distracting and out of place among all the other smooth sharp graphics.

EDIT:  Looks like DKS took down the image and edited it to smooth out :tommann: outline and re-posted it using same URL for the updated picture.  Looks much better now!

I got inspired after attending a couple of the Disney drawing classes at California Adventure.

Yeah, fam! You're already halfway there!

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

I want a full size one in my office.  That's magnificent.

And have you cast the grumpy, but pleasantly clueless dad for your Disney comedy yet?  I've played that role for decades.

Glad you like it. Alas, that's full size. If I come across a larger version of the source image, I'll do it again.

I'm pretty handy with a paint brush... a little 1/4" plywood and some imagination, I bet it would look pretty good hanging up over a seedy tavern in central PA somewhere...

Can you make Tom holding that hot dog, too?

Pairs well with:
