Absolutely. I gotta admit I went HAM on em. All the PC cars, all the CR ones and even a Staley. I figured I'd to my part to get ST to invest in N.

The 4785s hit MBK yesterday - I picked up one of the AE Staley - resisting the PC (for now).

I have 6 Conrail cars (2 extra to attempt to renumber) and four Penn Central cars delivered today directly from Scaletrains waiting at home for me.  First order of business will be to replace those boxing gloves with Accumates or MT’s, whichever will work.  I would not resist too long as ST seems to not make very many extra cars.

No surprise here. Four of the six reporting marks are east of the Mississippi (Cargill and Staley being Illinois-based). Being that SSW is SP, it's the only Western RR in the mix and would be something we (that is, I) would actually see on SP trains. Highland Feeders may be Western but is really obscure.

In so many words, given the available choices, Western modelers would be most likely to pick the Cotton Belt car.

I received my 3 CR and 1 PC. They are everything I thought they'd be after purchasing a C39. I've not thought about replacing the couplers yet. I'll let it ride for a while and enjoy watching my larger grain train now.

I want Scaletrains to stick around...

Anyway, they're definitely very nice cars! Now to find a reason why I need a *****-ton of home road grain service covered hoppers.

The couplers still look pretty big?
How do they couple?  The Carbon black cars you almost had to slam them together to get them to couple?

They are a bit big but I'm not freaking out about it.
I also haven't stress tested them yet.

We have discussed the Scale Trains couplers here more than once.  They seem to be anything close to "scale". While scale Trains strives to produce models close to scale, they have failed with with their couplers.   Taking a wild guess, Scale Trains is managed by ex-Athearn people, and their oversize couplers seem to closely resemble McHenry couplers (which are the defacto N scale coupler at Athearn).  Do I need to say anymore?

Yes Pete, I know.
I was asking because just recently, within the last few weeks, I had heard another rumor that ST was going to or had done something with their couplers with the release of these hoppers.  I also heard or read conflicting rumors that they had not and had no intentions of looking into their couplers.
Hence the question to Ed since he had them in his hands and I was curious.

The over scale doesn't bother me so much.......but I find i really have to slam the train into a car to get them to couple. I'd be happier with a less-prototypical but functional 1015.

My "Do I need to say anymore?" sentence was not directed at you asking the question. It was to reinforce the preceding sentence where I was making a guess as to why Scale Trains designed their all-new coupler to be so bulky.

Maybe I should have used a ";" between those sentences to  make the association clearer?  Punctuation can be tricky, especially for a non-native English speaker.  I  always have a hard time with semicolons.
