Don’t know how often you’ve worked with Grandt Line stuff but they have some of the crispest, finest injection molding in the industry.  Moreover their HOn3 car kits include brass wire parts and delrin trucks with metal wheelsets and decals. That’s not going to happen on Shapeways any time soon.  Trust someone who has used Grandt Line cars, structure kits, and detail parts on and off for over 25 years that this is a loss that 3-D printing won’t fill.
I wish that I could've upvoted this a few hundred times. Their windows and doors are all but flashless...

I really, really, hope somebody picks up the line and the tooling.

I've got quite a stash of stuff, but what I'm doing right now - the Trunkeyville module - is using Grandt line windows and doors.  But all the scratchbuilt structures I do depend on high quality window and door castings.

And the circus wagons I've been working on as resin kits were waiting on a supply of their wheels.   That idea may be stuck, maybe not now.

Randy, Tichy has a nearly identical lineup of finely molded windows and doors available.

True, maybe for more modern applications. Grandt Line has a lot more that is applicable for older structures earlier than 1920. I use both as the styles overlap. I just sent in an order for more of the warehouse doors as part of an larger order for the next modeling challenge. In N they are a more minor player - in HO they are quite a staple product line and they will be missed.

Richie:  That was my first thought.  I have quite a few left, and really don't need many, but they're indispensable for "traditional" Nn3 modelers.  And their "Reese Street Houses" are perfect for mining camps across the country.

Queen posts?  I don't know.  Freddie Mercury is deceased, so I don't think that you'll see many posts around here by Queen.

So does this mean that the N scale items will be continued?

They are purchasing the entire line, with the exception of our Miniatures Kits.
I take it that N is saved
