Hi All

A friend of mine asked me to join the group, so I thought "why not?" I have been in HON3 since 1983 and this is my second layout, which I started some 8 years ago. It's in a room out the 24 foot by 18 foot shedd out back. It's an operating layout, which is always being redefined. About just over a quarter is sceniced. Its a freelance scenic method where I get pictures of scenes I like and modify them to suit. I have decided to go for the lush lowlands of the RGS and DRGW. Since I come from Australia, these colours are often a challenge. I run just Blackstone (Yes addicted), with a few odds attached. Most of my years were spent trying to get those Brass locos to run, but now, "It's a Breeze." Well electrical issues aside or running days either.
I have many pics of my layout as I find they help me when trying to improve a scene.
I have included one as an intro which is a Rags to Riches Smelter, Blackstone cars and K27.

Ahh hah!

So there is an intro page other than in the N scale forum.  Any way my name is Scott Dean,. I'm a retired U.S. Navy submariner currently working as an engineer for the Union Pacific.  My layout is currently in the planning stages.  It will be an tongue in cheek omage to the Rio Grande Southern.  As well as working on the track plan, I'm getting the garage ready to build the layout in.  I'd post what I currently have for the track plan but apparently you have to have twenty five posts before you are allowed to post pictures. (Not sure what that's all about but ok).  In the mean time I'm working on rolling stock and structures.

If you can't make it perfect, make it adjustable.
