MT 905 zscale couplers in bulk
« on: January 22, 2018, 07:00:24 PM »

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in buying the MT 905 z-scale in bulk packaging. There are many of us looking for options when it comes to smaller couplers and the 905 is IMO the best option when it comes to minimal work for installation on most equipment.
I know the TSC system is out there and I've tried them, but id prefer coupler with a little better room for error in regards to track work vs reliability.
Who would buy bulk packages if they were offered?

I may be game, but what do you mean by "bulk" and what would be the price break?
And assembled or not? (Life is too short to waste assembling 905's).

I may be interested as well if they are assembled.  I found that putting together 903s was an exercise in frustration.
The fabric of reality has begun to fray.

My idea of bulk would be enough for 10-20 cars per pack. I would like to hope for a $40-60 20 car pack(40 couplers) would be an acceptable amount if they were assembled. I guess we will see in time if this might come to fruition.

I bought a bunch of 903's that are still waiting to be assembled. I've since realized money comes and goes but time only goes. So if they are assembled 905's I might be interested

I'd be in for that.

You could probably call Microtrains directly and ask them for a bulk price.  I've done that with parts before and they were very accomodating.  They quoted me a price for 50 or 100 or however many I wanted of some 1015 parts.

Interested.

I don't mind assembling 1015s but 903s, no thank you    :scared:

903's are un-assembled, 905's (which I always buy) are assembled. YES, I would be in for a bulk purchase. A reasonable discount so everyone is happy would be great.

I am a fan of the 905's (installed on about 80 cars and a number of locos)  and usually I buy five or more packs at a time. Would buy larger packs if the discount was there. There must be some money in the packaging that could be saved and past along.

Jane:  I'm with you.  1015s and 1025s are no problem, but I never have been able to get a 903 to work.  All of my narrow gauge, and Atlas ore cars, have 905s!

A bulk pack of the 905s would be very handy.  I don't imagine there are many people who buy ONE package and stop...

For that matter, a bulk pack of 1025s would be nice.

Off topic, I wonder why 903 and 1025 are unassembled, while 905 and 1023 are assembled?  It seems like one of the numbers is backwards.
