Yeah, I was wondering where you got the freight box....

The freight box in front is solid resin, probably an Ultimate N, the box in back is an Atlas trailer box cut down in size.

Often there was no platform. The cars would run so close to the building that they simply dropped a steel plate between the building and the car to bridge the gap.

My shop/ office building was built in the sixties and had that exact setup.  The siding was a tight fit between several buildings constructed on each side of the siding, each with the same setup. By the time I purchased it in the later seventies the siding was gone.
