Yes, a closer photo of the caboose way car (that's what CB&Q called 'em) would be a super help. The angled cupola would tell a lot about where we are with resolution and aliasing.

Ideally you'd have 2 identical models side by side, both with a light coat of primer. One model would be printed in Shapeways FXD to compare. Just sayin'. You are trying to convince us.

Interesting. While the caboose is slightly larger in the photos, the shell is so overexposed that all I see is a white blob with no surface detail at all.  Maybe it is my monitor . . . 

What I would like to see is a better closeup. Something like the photo below (I realize that the subjects are painted but it, gives you an idea if how close I would like to see the surface of the shell).

Try taking the caboose pictures again  but adjust your exposure for -0.3 or -0.7 of a (f/)stop.

This would be great. Then it would show the model in something of a finished form, which is what modelers would do with it anyway.

Also, post the full-size images so they will enlarge more. The ones that have been posted so far appear to have been resized.

I realize we may seem to be overly fussy about this, but the images will dictate if we'll be inclined to open our wallets.

Thanks for the suggestions guy's. I'll put some primer on it and take a picture with better lighting. It doesn't help that the default printing material is white, so its hard to see any contrast. I'll try and get it done this week.

I have a request to see if it is feasible.  I need a certain detail part, specifically a Prime Gyra beacon in yellow/amber to mount on the roof of an N scale locomotive.  I model Santa Fe circa 1985-88 and every locomotive I own will need them.

Also maybe some Topeka Cabs to make some GP7u's & GP9u's.  Just a thought.

I imagine that John ( @Lemosteam ) might be able to accommodate your needs.  But you'll have to paint it yourself.

Its not just your monitor... that is what I am seeing on mine as well.  Really needs some primer sprayed to provide some contrast...
