It's good to have hidden gems, tho.
Dave, I’m liking it but where the poles hit the ground is causing me to ask are you going to do a concrete land retention slope (have no idea what those are called BTW) under the bridge too?
Thanks, DKS! To reduce the complexity of the slope pavings’ connections with the abutments and the pilings, I cut the pilings down and installed a base. I’ve seen bases under the pilings like this, probably to reinforce the piers and prevent a derailment from taking out the bridge. It wasn’t fun cutting off the pilings, but I glued a piece of styrene across the pilings at the cut line, which kept the cut straighter and prevented me from breaking the pilings. One down, one to go. Then, I can get to work on the slope paving.DFF
I just saw this guy trying to steal your swagger:https://www.youtube.com/user/tmh57/videos
I'm guessing that turnout is automated...
The scene is really coming together nicely. If you're like me, when you're on the highway and you come to a bridge like this, you invariably glance left and right to see if there's a headlight approaching below...
Scene reminds me of the overpass on the south side of Southern Pines where the SBD passes under Morganton Road on a bit of a curve.
You'll need to include my brother in law's Mustang upside down in the ditch...
