The green bits are 3D printed and the building to the right has 3D windows and doors. It is based on "Coats" along the OR&W:


On the left the 2 buildings are based on ones that once stood a few miles from me in Mineral Ridge Ohio.

 
and the post office I reversed:


Mineral Ridge had many small coal mines and a gravity railroad that took coal down to the river at the Pennsylvania and Ohio Canal. They even used to manufacture mine equipment here.

In the back left before the bridge will be a small barn/garage.

The "barn"


It is an old AHM/Revell kit and actually has a lot of detail. But it was bigger than I thought it would be so I narrowed and shortened it.

And I ordered a sheet of laser cut shingles from Monster Model Works. I hope they look OK:

Chris,

Outstanding progress all around, I especially like that the town and buildings are based on reality. You're dangerously close to becoming a prototype modeler ;)
The water wheel (and moss) are icing on the cake.

Fantastic work as always Chris!

You have to be one of the most active/prolific HOn30 modelers out there, that few life long HOn30 modelers know about...

If you don't mind taking the time to do so, share some of your photos with the NEHOn30 list.  I'm sure everyone would be happy to see them.

Yes the Waynesburg & Washington used the PRR design. It is all one piece printed.  :P  But I need to paint all the trim like that  :scared:

That is some amazing model work. It looks like On30 instead of HOn30 for the fidelity you bring to your work. It's quite excellent!

Guess I never got a shot of the bridge:


It is based on the W&W bridge at Buchanon. I had a good side shot of the bridge and knew from records how long it was so I just sized it to HO and traced it. The real bridge had a diving board off of it!
