Can Neolube be used after the turnout has been painted?
I built my turnouts in a Fastracks Jig, then add the wooden ties then weather the turnout before installing it.

It worked over paint. I'll let it sit a while and work the turnout back and forth a few more times to see how it holds up.

This was just a quick coat, but some of the copper shows through. I is darker though. I think it will work.

And got more work done on the company store.

Image dump showing the town area coming together. Behind the company store will be a row of company houses. The buuilding on the corner will be a small hotel/saloon. Some other business next to than and then a small farm house before the bridge over the tracks.

And a peek over the backdrop at the small yard. Starting work on the enginehouse/car shop.

And Chris follows LIRR and Daves V and F out of the N scale universe... . who will be next? Lee? Ed K? Chicken 45? For you know this exodus will continue .... sorry to see you guys go. I'll miss the bigtime mainline modeling you did.

I've had a HOn30 layout in this same space for about 3.5 years now. Just recently gutted and started re-building it.

I think there are 4 or 5 semi active layouts in @Chris333 universe, at least two of which are n scale. He never really leaves a scale.

Corner hotel/saloon. I was going to use the Walther's kit to the left, but it was too large. I scratch built the new one using plans in the latest Gazette.

Very nice! At first I thought it was painted and finished out before the roof/side windows tipped me off. Had me fooled, a testament to neat construction habits, no paint needed to hide sins  :D

Narrow gauge doesn't do much for me but you have to appreciate great modelling in any scale. Looking forward to seeing this progress!
