I'm curious what they did to get these.  From what I can tell these are from http://www.billboardsofthepast.com which sell full size vintage billboards.

Pretty easy to see that they're the same image.

Alas, most of the food billboards appear to be pre 1960.

There's a few that go into the mid/late 60's.  If there's any you like from that era, I probably have it downloaded without the watermark but they're still the small images.

OMG! I need to see a bigger image of #2632, the Navy Reserve billboard. It's pretty rough image to tell for certain, but I am almost positive that is my father in the image! He did some modeling for the reserve advertisements when he served during Korea. He never mentioned a billboard. That would be so awesome to have him on my layout, he passed in 2013.

I have to say that is pretty neat that you get to do that. I would assume that those billboards were most likely put in areas already close to the oceans.

Possibly. Dad was from Barton Wisconsin and Mom, who also enlisted, was from Youngstown Ohio. The way they explained it, a lot of Midwesterners joined the Navy to leave the region. They ended up meeting in Alexandria Virginia.

Anyone ever try to email Tichy? I did, and the email was delivered to me, it seems, not to the intended recipient (Tichy). Me thinks they have their email web page configured wrong.

No problem - it was shown on their main page (bottom).  It might be possible that the contact form you filled out emails you a copy of the email which goes to Tichy.  I have not tried that method.

The contact page will email you a copy, as confirmation that your email went through.  They may or may not read it, as they don't seem to be too reliable about reading emails.  I have emailed them, both directly and through their contact page, sometimes I get an answer, sometimes not.
