Only complaint was train going too fast.
I know that when we think of Colorado narrow gauge we think of small trains down on their hands and knees crawling at 5-10 mph. However if you look at film footage from the day, when these guys were on level, light or descending grade they were going as fast as the track and their balls allowed. These guys had a job to do, not a show to put on like the tourist railroads, they wanted to get where they were going, get their work done and get off the train and go home, just like today Scott
Agree... as it applies to the prototype, but the prototype had miles of run between towns/stops. Our layouts have limited “run” space between towns/stops, so slower speeds give some impression of more run. That’s all I was getting at.
