I`m struggling on filling this area in with a number of industries to make an interesting switching puzzle.

So I`m looking for some input on track plan!

I would suggest avoiding the temptation to build a maze.  The prototype would do everything in its power to avoid that situation.  Perhaps scan track maps for the PRR and try to find something prototypical that represents the type of industry or industries that you wish to model.

What he said!  In my travels I had the Juniata Division in every sort of space from the front office to the back bedroom to the creepy spider basement.  The importance of a bright, welcoming space for a model railroad cannot be overstated.  The more pleasant the space, the more incentive you have to be in it, and the more work you'll do along with JFRTM.

Maybe just a few sidings worked off a running track like so:




Could be several industries or one large one.  The facing point adds potential for either a runaround move or a move against the current of traffic on the return trip.  Not really to scale so those curves are likely a bit tight...

@prr7161 thanks I like the idea, I was also thinking of a grade to go up and over the lower curve to another industrial section.

I'm thinking some large industry and tight curves should be fine since I'll be using 4 axle switchers.

I got all the benchwork back up today and I'm ready to start putting down cork. First goal is getting the mainlines back up and running then working on the industrial area.

I also ran into a minor problem when connecting the last module. The cross members where right were the bolts needed to go. But I was able to quickly relocate the cross members due to the pocket screws! You can see where the cross members where originally
