Cast resin box cars lettered with custom Rail Graphics decals.  Yeah, yeah, I know:  Old Skool.

Those boxcars look nice! Are they unique to the AC&Y?

Thank you.  They are not unique to the AC&Y.  Delivered in June 1955, they have a "multi-tab" sill (seems to be the model RRing name for the design) common for the era.  Think 40' PS-1.  At some point the design shifted to the single sill tab we are used to seeing on our 50' XM models.  I could not find a 50' N scale shell with the multi-tab design so I modified an old Kadee shell for the master and cast them in resin.  The master detailing is a little shaky but it works for me.

Thanks Brian.  I get a little better at photoshop with each try.  I have to admit I'm still in the trial and error learning phase though.  Online the photo looks over exposed.  On my screen it looks better.  Live and learn.

Great car, Steve.  Hope you bring one with for the display table in the RPM room at Indy Junction!  Modutrak layout will be there as well if you want to run something.

Thanks Mike.  I'm planning to bring some models for the RPM table.  And the invite to run on the Modutrak layout is too good to pass up.  Looking forward to it.

I did some yard work recently.  Ballasting is not such a dreadful task.

Never mind the ballast, I really like the grass between the tracks.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

Thanks.  Any UTube video about applying static grass describes what I did.

@SAH    It's not just what you did, but where you did it.   Too often lightly used tracks are modelled in an unnaturally pristine state.  Yours look just right.

That's what I was shooting for.  Glad to hear I hit the mark.  It's easy to overdo it.  The ladder will have far less high grass.  Almost none.  I'm going to try to highlight the walking path the brakeman would travel as he throws switches.  Should be interesting.

Looks like a couple of those roof walks need to be flattened.
