Tomytec Power Chassis Dimensions

For those of you who use the listing of Tomytec power chassis and their dimensions at http://www.trainweb.org/tomix/ChassisDim.htm  I have expanded that page to bring it up-to-date. Photos of the basic chassis designs have been added, as well as dimensions for bodyshell interior height needed, wheel diameter, etc. I have also translated all actual millimeter dimensions (as well as s I can measure them) into scale feet and inches in three "N scales" (1:160, 1:150 and 1:148).

There is also a new section on the site that is a reference to earlyTomix/Tomytec, Modemo, Kato and Greenmax "trolley" or trolley/interurban-like products, originally put together by Garth Hamilton in 2008. I did not want to see this reference information in English just fade away, and after Garth closed his site he agreed to let me resurrect his work. I have now posted it, and added to it sections for trolley products once offered by Father Nature Trains, Miniatures by Eric, and Western Railcraft, with more in the works. Together, these create a reference resource that I have not seen anywhere else.

Rich,

This is a great resource, and I have used it in the past when trying to find chassis to fit a particular model.  Thanks especially for including the new "adjustable" chassis, as even Tomix own postings were a bit vague on dimensions.

"added to it sections for trolley products once offered by Father Nature Trains, Miniatures by Eric, and Western Railcraft,"

I did some walking through the maze that is the trainweb index - and came up with http://trainweb.org/tomix/trolleys/Trolleys.htm - had not occurred to me initially to look under Tomix

Apparently, still no "drop in" chassis for my old Western Railcraft kits, but the chassis info you provided may solve that for me, although I expect some "modifications."

Many thanks for your work on this project.

I have a mind like a steel trap...a VERY rusty, old steel trap.
