Although it isn't nearly enough, I want to thank you Tim for everything you have done to make this wonderful project a reality.

I repaired the broken links in my post on Page 9 of the M3T Photo Thread.  The Photobucket problem has been resolved.  Hopefully, everyone else similarly affected will do the same to get the thread restored.

I would like to 2nd that.  Tim, what you have done for Mike and his family is nothing short of amazing.  I am proud that I was a small part of it and I sincerely appreciate all the effort you have put into this project.

Greetings from Toronto!

This is my first visit to the big city and spent my first day looking around.  I am meeting Craigolio for dinner tonight and we'll no doubt raise a glass to Mike.

Thank you for the kind comments; it has been a pleasure to do this but my job is not done yet.  Tomorrow the Michael McGrattan Memorial Train will be interchanged to the Kanto Subdivision and it will thereafter have a new conductor.

I look forward to updating you all when I get home.

I also want to extend a huge thank you to Tom Mann who has managed to repair much of the damage to our thread, and to those who have similarly repaired their contributions.  I had planned to print it all out for Sam but will wait a while longer to give others a chance to fix their picture links.

Stay tuned!

Tim

Good Evening:

Today I made the trip from Toronto to Peterborough and delivered the train.  After all of its travels, it was neat to see it pull into the Kanto station on the layout Mike and Sam built.  It was also a pleasure to meet Margaret, Sam, and Lois (Mike's mother).  Pictures and more this weekend after I get home.

Thanks to the Railwire Gallery, I have restored my photos (see page 2 of the photo thread).  When I had the model, I added the flags and I am really happy they were carried on the train all the way back to Canada.

Hi Doug:

Thank you for restoring your links.  There is some time for others to do the same; I will get the thread cleaned up and printed for the family later in the year when I have the two remaining magazine articles also to send.

The last instalment of our series in N-Scale Magazine has now been published, and I wish to thank all those who contributed to the series.  I will be sending the royalties to Mrs. McGrattan In Trust For Sam along with copies of the last two magazines, and a copy of the video which Mark Dance compiled.  I delivered the first four issues with the train in July.

I will chat with Gary about how best to archive the two threads relating to the McGrattan Memorial Train, as this story is now concluded.
