Reading fans - Need help IDing covered hopper

I was looking through Morning Sun's digital pub Lehigh Valley - Best of Bob Wilt Vol 1 today and ran across a picture on page 90 with an unusual (to me) covered hopper.  Can anyone help me find better images of the car (or another in its class) immediately behind the loco in this pic taken at Allentown PA in 11/1966:

I remember Chessie system having Centerflow-like tops for straight side open hoppers in the 70s/80s, but this car pre-dates that idea and it looks like a covered hopper that was, well, re-covered.  Any help is appreciated, especially better photos.

Thanks,

Bryan

Looks like an early covered hopper for sand.

That looks like it!  Just with earlier lettering.  Thanks, Jason!  And Chris.

Jason, which museum is that last shot from?

Interesting fleet history, Jason. They did not enjoy very long service lives vs covered hoppers that came later on other roads... fleet decimated by 1970 (age 20yrs), and completely retired by 1976. Wonder what the reason was? Readings financial condition? Collapse of the cement region? Superseded by larger equipment? Age of the original open hoppers used in their construction? Combination of the four?

 :)
Reading built some for CNJ also.
think they ended up in Loco sand service,or CNJs
  South Jersey sand trains.
there were plans in RMC,would guess the 80s,but it
  was awhile back.
