Got this little building added to the original portion of the layout.



As I looked at the photo, I realized the layout is a little dirty, probably need to vacuum this coming weekend. 
It made me wonder, how does everyone else clean their layout?

Thanks! Indeed, I thought it seems to fit the size for something like that. There's a little building of similar shape near NS's Asheville Yard tower with a plethora of holes on all four sides. I have always been curious if it was for electrical, telegraph, or something else.

What type of adhesive have you used to attach your Unitrack and True Track to the foam?  That is a goal for me to complete in the next month or so on my layout.

I use small amounts of craft glue to hold it in place until I ballast around it. Ballasting involves spread more glue along the edges before applying ballast and other ground covers. Once it has everything dries, it is secure.

I chose this method so it would be just a matter of wetting the surrounding scenery to release the glue for repairs, alterations, expansion, what have you.

No, but that's a nice one and I am a frequent patron (and train watcher) at the business right next to that location!

In my opinion, that's the best part of the hobby. Our models actually move and we are able to do things with them, like switch our local industries. Nothing better than rail fanning your layout when the weather outside is not so great

Thanks for the video share, Ed. I haven't seen that one yet. I would be interested to see some of that flyover footage on the section around Balsam, Addie, and, of course, the paper mill in Sylva.

Little more porgress on the corner this weekend. Decide to go ahead an get turf on everything to change the appearnce. Starting to play with placement of the houses and the convenience store. The second pic is a shot from the doorway into the layout room. I have a smaller piece of a shelf layout from my friend TJ above the main part of the layout. I've been getting the bug to expand this, so maybe I'll start another layout thread on this one soon...
