Feasibility of 3D printing Erie Stillwell coaches

I’m excited about these. Recently I looked for these and wondered what happened to them on the online store.

Should be real easy.

Great! Prime Mover Decals has N scale Erie Passenger car decal sets that should work.

They say coming soon, but that could be a years old message.

The Microscale steam loco decals will yield "ERIE" in at least approximately the right size.  Assuming the final decision was to do the arched window frames, the E R I E need to be applied separately anyway- so an alphabet set will also work.

Assuming enough interest, will there be a second run?  Without knowing price, I don't know how many I can afford, but was hoping to get at least 3.

In any case, very glad to see these coming to market.

Been waiting for those almost as long as the single window coach I was planning to put them on. Good to know those are on the way.

I know Scott Lupia did an article for RMC (2007 ish ?) on modeling a Stillwell from a Lima/Minitrix/MP coach.  Were there drawings with that article?  And Joe Lofland's article in Prototype Modeler (I think) maybe 20 years ago (had a intercity long distance version, not sure if it had a drawing).

I'm moving next month, and most of my magazines are packed up, but seems like some one or another had a drawing of a Stillwell coach.  The Erie diagrams are online, but those are pretty rough.

July 1968 Railroad Model Craftsman has an article by Walter Olevsky with a drawing but only gives a partial side of the version of the car with the arches visible.  Paul T kindly helped me to access it.

The full image in that article is of the version with the arches covered over with steel. 

I used the online 1913 Erie drawing to attempt to do one in TT scale but it is indeed rough; the arches were not the same shape and windows are not uniformly spaced. 

I thought I was making progress, but then the knife slipped at the second post 

Had it succeeded, would have been a weird model ; trucks would have been fashioned using modified Lima 4-wheel N scale UK wagon chassis as the basis of the truck sideframes. They were about the right shape and scaled well in TT.

I didn't miss it either, although I'm not looking for Stillwell coaches.  I need the DLW Boonton coach and combines.  It seems the methods would be similar for them.  Just another thing on my tuit list.
