It's over. Done.

This was quite the project. Peter Harris offering the kit. John Frantz doing the decals for him. John LeMerise doing the generator, Peteski doing the Westinghouse sign, and Max with the EZ line suggestion.
Everyone of these guys, an a$$hat. Thank you all!

He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

Nope!
But I did ask @bbussey about that one they were working on. I guess they ran in to production issues. Sucks because I really want one. And a TARDIS.

If you don't mind paying $30 (FUD) or $45 (FXD) for it, I can activate it today!  :P

Shapeways can't keep the simulated I-beams from warping and breaking because they aren't really as careful in the wax removal process as they should be.  So more and more "packaging bracing" was needed to prevent rough handling from damaging the part, which added to the price.

Interesting. That sucks. How much is it without the excessive bracing?

It does suck, because it looks really good when finished.

With all of the bracing except for the heavy I-Beams removed, it would be $18/$25.  But then you'd have to supply your own channel beams for bracing, and neither Plastruct nor Evergreen make the channel walls thin enough for N.  Probably acceptable for most, but slightly too thick for my tastes.

The top of the wheel loaded in the GSC Well Car is 1.5775" above the rail top, if that helps.  The payload height is 1.5" if you're contemplating loading it on/in another model.  Deck height of the GSC Well Car is 0.0775" above the rails.  I don't know what the deck height is of Allen's (@71jeep) F25 but the wheel without bracing fits in there as well.
