:|It has been awhile since the last posts, the Bridge Work on my layout continues. We used several sheets (square's) of NOCH molded rock strata, cut up and hot glued in. Then master scenery builder Bob Gilmore 3985 used Celuclay (not cellphone) to blend the strata in. Next step to let the clay dry then paint to match surrounding scenery. Nate Goodman (Nato).

Looks a lot like the rubber rocks from Cripple bush. Nice work.

I' am sure I want to reply. The work continues on the Branchline Bridge on Nate Goodman's Layout. First a couple of old photos to refresh our memories. Then the paint work Bob Gilmore using artists acrylic paints to paint over the base color and blend the colors in to the rest of the original layout colors in the scene. A hair dryer was used to blow dry the washes of paint. Finally "Tada", the finished scene, colors look like the original. Total time required to cover the base coat about 45 minutes. Nate Goodman (Nato).

PS
Just me (Bob Gilmore) butting in here for a minute. I am quite pleased at the quality this Noch casting supplied to this scene...especially since the closeness of the trestle would have made carving plaster a real headache! I highly recommend them if they fit your style of rock face on your layout! RGG
