Upgraded Bowser N5c

I just hit up BLW's "What's New" and what do I see? An announcement from Bowser yesterday for "upgraded" N5c's. The artwork shows pre-installed trainphone antennas on some models. Not only antennas, but the smaller wires running into the cupola.

Thanks @dougnelson ! Murphy strikes again!

Wow, that's a really good price for the "upgraded" version. Even though I don't need any more cabins, I may just have to get one. I guess Bowser is back into the N scale game. I just wish they would do the N8.

+1 on the N8!

I'm in a good place cabin-wise otherwise, but still good to see Bowser remaining committed to N scale PRR.

An N8 would be awesome! For now, I'm happy with more N5c's. I don't know exactly how many cabins I'll eventually need, but I'm alright erring on the side of too many.

I am going to guess the upgrade is the metal wheels and couplers and not the train phone.

The product description says "with antenna". Whenever they arrive (according to the announcement next summer), I'll be the first to report in. My reservation is in.

I wish Bowser would do some of their other Pennsy stuff in N like the wagon-top boxcars, stock cars, and ore jennies.

Maybe this is Ed's law where they show HO artwork for an N scale product.  :ashat:

I saw the listing of N5c's on BLW's site and was going to start a thread, but Eric already did.
I think I have enough PRR cabin cars, but I may pick up a few more.
BLW prices are good.  I saw a couple of N5c's sell on eBay for around $26 each.
Definitely a +1 for an N8.
Maybe that's the new SPF rally cry...
I want an N8

I'm curious about these. I've never been in love with the existing Bowser N5C for a number of reasons, but I'm hoping that the upgraded model will be a winner.

And at that price? I'll take the gamble...

It says "PRR Caboose Trucks"...
Where would those be coming from?  Does somebody already make such a thing?
