@jmlaboda Virginian cars would wreck my my wallet.  I have a 1957 roster for reference, so I already have an idea of what cars to get.

... Craig or Bryan, what is the time frame for the NH cars...

1920s-1950s. Mostly gone by the early 1960s, none survived to PC.

Coincidentally, a decision this week to model dual eras on my layout means that the 1950s is now relevant on the Seaboard Central.  Of course, unless I can justify the L&N cars on the Seaboard Air Line, I may have to wait to see what roads are available in the next batch.  I'll be watching this closely.

FWIW, L&N coal (and cars) came to Waterloo, IA for local dealers.

I'm interested in the L&N cars. Anyone know when they were in service?

Hmm... if they weren't
in service in 1891, I
can't use 'em...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

Some of the C&O hoppers would look good behind my new Kanawhas...   :)

I would certainly be interested and planning to purchase some
be it not for the K-4 and M-1 availability ad possibility still this
year.

Note that the web page says arrival 2nd quarter 2016 so that is as much as 8 or 10 months away yet. Still time to save up for them. ;)

I don't suppose you have any pics of these cars at the local coal dealers? Looking everywhere for those type photos. (Fingers crossed!!!)

Luckily I repainted my Bachmann hopper in the brown/script scheme, so it won't clash with these cars. :)

Are these a different prototype from similar 2 bay shortie coal hoppers from Atlas, Bachmann and MT or just different roads? Not my era, but they look impressive.

Not sure about the Bachman, but not the same car as the Atlas or MTL.

I can guarantee they weren't in service in either 1891 or 1981.

Dee models 1891 this week. I model 1971. If the L&N cars were around in the 60s, that's close enough for me.

Hmm... not much around
for 1891 in Z scale...

Kiz. the L&N's original 1000 from the USRA which were actually deliver 1921-24, but then they had 11,000 clones built later, they started to disappear in the 50's. I can find none in the January 1962 ORER unfortunately for you.

Oh well, if they had made it to 1968 or so, I coulda fudged it. Thanks for the info.

Hmm... fudge with
termites... delicious...
