Anyone e from TRW planning to attend this event? Never been to one before, but seen impressive pictures. I'm not a total prototyper, but am thinking of going seeing it's 6 miles from home.

What are your experiences with these gatherings?

The clinic schedule looks pretty impressive.

The Naperville RPM meet is my favorite show that Modutrak does (most of the crew is on the way to the St. Louis show, as we speak).  Even if your not a Proto guy, the show is worth it.  Great seminars, and incredible modeling!

I was planning to go to St. Louis tomorrow, but things have gotten crazy around here with important projects and I just can't get away. :(

6 miles from home and only $25 for a one-day pass. And you're still thinking about it??   :D

Seriously though, the caliber of modeling and clinics at these events (a.k.a. "learning opportunties") should be worthwhile. YMMV

I attended a RPM the other year. That was about six miles from my home. This  particular show alternates between Pittsburgh and suburban Phila. The presentations and clinics started Friday evening and concluded Sunday morning with open houses Sunday PM.

Some of the same presenters at that show are on the docket you provided. There are two weathering presentations, some history, prototype, electronics, and construction of structures and cars among the group. It's like a combo of the Fine Scale show and a well-prepared regional NMRA meet. For $25, you can't beat it.

I would guarantee you will come away with ideas and suggestions that would take you years to come up with on your own. And you will no doubt meet many well known modelers as well as possibly encounter a couple acquaintances.
